Terms of use

These terms apply to landscapelookup.com and the services on it (“LandscapeLookup”, “we”, “us”). By using the site you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.

What LandscapeLookup is

LandscapeLookup is a directory. We help you find landscape businesses and compare them using public information, mainly their Google ratings and reviews. We don’t perform landscaping work, we aren’t a party to any agreement between you and a business, and we don’t take payments for jobs.

For homeowners and visitors

• Listings aren’t endorsements. A listing, ranking or “Verified” badge doesn’t mean we recommend, guarantee or vouch for a business’s work. “Verified” means the owner claimed the listing and we confirmed they run the business.
• Do your own checks. Before hiring, confirm licensing and insurance where your state requires them, get written quotes, and check references. Hiring decisions are yours.
• Information may be out of date. Listings come from public sources and from owners. We work to keep them accurate but can’t guarantee that every detail is correct or current.
• Ratings come from Google. We show Google ratings and review counts as they are; we don’t write, edit or filter reviews. How we rank listings is explained on How it works. Featured placements are always labeled.

For business owners

• Claiming and adding. You may claim or add a business only if you own it or are authorized to represent it. Each account manages one listing, and each business location needs its own Google Business Profile.
• Accuracy. Keep your listing accurate and don’t mislead customers about your services, location, licensing or reputation.
• Your content. You keep ownership of the descriptions and photos you add. You give us a free, non-exclusive license to display, resize and format them on LandscapeLookup and in places that promote your listing, for as long as they’re on the site. Only upload photos you have the right to use.
• Not allowed: content that’s false, offensive, infringes someone else’s rights, or advertises unrelated businesses; impersonating another business; or trying to manipulate rankings.
• Our role. We may review, edit or remove listing content that breaks these terms, and suspend accounts that misuse the site. Basic listings are free. If we ever offer paid features, their terms will be shown before you buy.
• Your account. Keep your password private. You’re responsible for changes made through your account.

Using the site

Please don’t:

• scrape, copy or bulk-download listings, or access the site with automated tools beyond normal search engine crawling;
• submit fake claims, businesses or messages, or try to get around our security checks;
• interfere with the site, its security or other people’s use of it.

Removing or correcting a listing

If a listing is wrong, belongs to a business that has closed, or shows your personal details, tell us and we’ll look into it. Owners can also claim their listing to fix it themselves.

Links to other websites

Listings link to businesses’ own websites and to Google Maps. Those sites aren’t ours and we aren’t responsible for their content or practices.

Our content and trademarks

The LandscapeLookup name, logo, design and the way the directory is put together belong to us. Business names, logos and trademarks belong to their owners. Google and Google Maps are trademarks of Google LLC.

Disclaimers

The site is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, including that the site will be accurate, uninterrupted or error-free, or about the quality of any business listed.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, LandscapeLookup isn’t liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your dealings with a business you found on the site. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to $100.

Changes

We may update these terms. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
